Verified Zendesk Sell record migration workflow

Zendesk Sell retirement

Leave with your records
and a verification receipt.

Zendesk says Sell will retire on August 31, 2027. Its standard export excludes several kinds of activity history, and deletion may begin when your subscription ends. Use the runway to inventory the gap, preserve a readable archive, and verify the destination.

Use the runway

An export is not the same thing as a verified exit.

A CRM exit has at least three jobs: preserve what exists, translate what the destination can represent, and prove what arrived. Zendesk says its standard export does not include activity history, appointments, emails, call logs, or documents, and data deletion can begin when the subscription ends or on August 31, 2027, whichever comes first.

Zendesk's notice identifies Pipedrive as its migration partner. You may use that path or choose another destination. An independent proof is useful when you want a source manifest, explicit exceptions, and verification evidence tied to your own requirements.

Do not wait for cutover day to discover which historical context the destination cannot represent.

The paid proof

A bounded decision, not a platform leap.

We start with a narrow source, a named operator, and a written success definition. The output should make the next decision easier even if you stop after the proof.

01

Inventory the source

Confirm authorized accounts, objects, fields, relationships, history, attachments, volumes, exports, and the records the business must be able to read later.

02

Create the map and archive

Produce the agreed readable source archive, its manifest, field mapping, transformation rules, and an explicit list of unsupported or ambiguous data.

03

Run a representative sample

Move a customer-approved sample into the chosen destination, preserving source identifiers and logging duplicates, transformations, failures, and exclusions.

04

Verify before cutover

Compare counts and sampled records, obtain owner sign-off, estimate production effort, and schedule a separately authorized move only when the proof is accepted.

Scope ledger

Know exactly what the proof does—and does not do.

High-stakes mailbox work needs clean boundaries. We document them before credentials, exports, or payment change hands.

Included

  • Authorized Zendesk Sell source inventory and export-format review.
  • Readable source archive for the agreed export scope, with its manifest.
  • Object, field, relationship, and history manifest for the agreed scope.
  • Supported, transformed, excluded, duplicate, and unresolved status labels.
  • Representative destination sample when a destination is selected and accessible.
  • Verification receipt, gap list, and separately priced production plan.

Explicitly excluded

  • A claim that Zero Inbox is Zendesk's or Pipedrive's official migration partner.
  • Silent deletion of records or an unsupported-field count presented as success.
  • Production cutover, destination licensing, or unlimited custom integration work in the proof fee.
  • A promise that every source feature has a one-to-one equivalent in the destination.

Qualification

A strong fit has authority, a real data source, and a deadline.

01You can authorize access to the Zendesk Sell account and identify the business owner of the records.
02You know which objects, history, and relationships must survive the exit.
03You have selected a destination or want an archive-and-inventory proof before selecting one.
04A technical and business owner can review the map, sample, and gap list on a defined timeline.

Questions before access

The details we should settle early.

When is Zendesk Sell being retired?

Zendesk's official retirement notice says Zendesk Sell and the Sell mobile app will be retired on August 31, 2027, with customers retaining normal access until that date.

Is Zero Inbox affiliated with Zendesk or Pipedrive?

No affiliation or endorsement is claimed. Zendesk's official notice names Pipedrive as its migration partner. This Zero Inbox offer is an independent, destination-aware proof and verification service.

Do we have to choose a destination before the proof?

Not necessarily. An archive-and-inventory proof can establish the source objects, fields, counts, and gaps first. A destination sample requires a selected destination and technical owner.

Will every Zendesk Sell field move perfectly?

No universal migration can promise that. The proof labels supported, transformed, excluded, duplicated, and unresolved data so the customer can approve the actual map.

Founding cohort

Start with the source manifest while the system is still available.

Send aggregate user and record counts, required history, destination, owners, and deadline. We will reply with fit and the smallest proof capable of exposing the real migration gaps.
